Overview

The Talent Acquisition Specialist  will be responsible for supporting Pennrose with full-life cycle recruiting; proactively sourcing, identifying, and evaluating candidate through closing. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will also be responsible for implementing sourcing strategies to identify and recruit top talent, and relentlessly pursue improving the candidate experience to promote Pennrose’s culture and employee engagement.

 

Pay range: $65,000 - $75,000/year depending on experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assists the HR Manager in the execution of recruiting strategies to attract and recruit high-caliber applicants. Sources applicants from online job postings, and social networking sites. Cold calling and contact of potential applicants required.
  • Build Pennrose’s employment brand by ensuring a strong presence in the community and industry engagement. Establish relationships with corporate and academic alumni programs, industry partners, networking organizations and career fairs to ensure a strategic pipeline of qualified and talented candidates.
  • Partners with department heads to understand staffing needs. Works with hiring managers to identify and screen for position requirements and competencies 
  • Organizes and manages job fairs, industry and networking events.
  • Manages full scale interview and recruiting process. Conducts initial phone screen interviews.  Submits qualified candidates to hiring managers and schedules interviews as directed.  Serves as primary point of contact for candidates.
  • Assist the HR Manager as subject matter expert in interpreting pre-hire diagnostic and testing results in the ATS (iCIMs). Coach, recommend, and coordinate results and selection process for Hiring Manger to ensure optimal selection of candidates.
  • Ensures recruitment practices follow company policies and procedures, as well as applicable employment law (e.g. EEOC). Ensures all candidates complete the full recruitment process prior to an offer of employment.
  • Represent Pennrose as a brand ambassador, keeping informed of all recruiting and human resources company policies and procedures and employee benefits (e.g. benefits, training, bonus, paid time off, 401k, etc.).
  • Provides continuous updates to ownership and HR, maintaining an effective chain of communication. Monitor, and report on recruitment metrics that drive optimal staffing performance. Collaborate with HR team, operations, and other departments to continually assess the effectiveness of recruiting tools and processes.
  • Ensures all candidates complete the full recruitment process prior to an offer, extend offer of employment to candidates, and negotiate final offer.
  • Maintain and manage an updated Job Description library always through assessment, creation, and updates for all positions.

Performance Metrics

  • Measurable difference in candidate placement from various professional referral sources.
  • Increase the quality of hire and positive candidate feedback on the talent acquisition and on-boarding process. Reduction in vacancy rate, and average time to hire.
  • Weekly generation of Open Job report and internal posting communications.
  • Adhere to the established timeline from requisition to hire.
  • Accurate management and upkeep of the ATS keeping current always.
  • Adhere to service standards for candidate communications at all stages.
  • Adherence to budget for Talent Acquisition for advertising and candidate sourcing.
  • Quarterly scorecard updates on all talent activity, labor market conditions and adjust staffing and policy as appropriate.

Required Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree preferably in Human Resources, Communications, Organizational Development, Business, or a related field required.
  • 4-6 years related experience in the following areas: Talent Acquisition, Talent Management, Human Resources preferably within a multi-family housing environment, real estate development or hospitality industry.
  • 4-6 years of experience sourcing for new applicants from online job boards, social media and networking sites, and candidate databases.
  • Demonstrated project management and organization skills to handle multiple projects (small and large) with conflicting priorities and deliver projects on time with excellence.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer-service focus and proven appetite for uncovering talent.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Applicant Tracking Systems (iCIMS) or other HRIS systems.

 

Working Conditions:

  • Ability to work periodic flexible hours is required.  Ability to travel by plane and automobile is required.
  • Ability to work at property locations within or near transitional neighborhoods.
  • Strong collaboration skills – works well across functional areas. Ability to perform in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal guidance.
