Overview

The Senior Analyst of Financial Planning & Analysis will be responsible for undertaking many facets of enterprise and corporate financial planning and analysis.  This role will perform or assist with business planning, forecasting, financial and project analyses, budgeting, support a variety of real estate transactions, and work directly with executive management to deliver analytics and insights to the business.

 

Pay range: $90,000 - 100,000 + Bonus

Responsibilities

  • Perform complex financial modeling, risk, and sensitivity analyses
  • Analyze financial trends and drivers, and contribute to forecasting, budgeting, and long-range planning cycles
  • Gather, consolidate, and analyze operating and financial results for multiple entities, and prepare internal and external reporting
  • Prepare financial analysis surrounding real estate projects and assist with supporting financing, acquisitions, dispositions, and other real estate transactions.
  • Prepare and analyze comprehensive operating unit and enterprise-wide budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist development, acquisition and asset management teams with financial underwriting, project proposals and the requests of investors, lenders, and agencies.
  • Working closely with the asset management team, develop and maintain financial valuations of owned real estate projects.
  • Participate in development of KPIs and dashboards to enhance reporting and operational visibility
  • Interpret financial metrics, provide financial guidance to teams, and advise on cost management decisions.
  • Assist with developing corporate financial reporting processes and collaborate on improving and standardizing existing processes
  • Build a comprehensive knowledge of corporate, fund, and project legal ownership structures.
  • Investigate and identify opportunities for the company to improve its data structure and large-scale reporting functions
  • Work directly with senior executives to present financial information, issues, and reports.
  • Lead, mentor, coach and train colleagues. Listen to customer concerns and find solutions and resources for them
  • Special projects and assignments as requested

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance or similar discipline.
  • Certified Public Accountant, MBA or similar advanced degree a plus.
  • 5 to 7 years’ experience in financial analysis, finance and/or accounting.
  • Experience in real estate operations, development, as well as multi-family or affordable housing is highly desirable.
  • Exceptional analytical skills.
  • Excellent technical skills and expertise in investment analysis, business planning, valuation, and modeling and forecasting for real estate projects.
  • Experience in the preparation of financial statements. Consolidations experience a plus.
  • Experience working with a major general ledger / enterprise accounting software system. Yardi experience a plus.
  • Must be able to work independently and collaboratively. Must be organized and have strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • A total team player with the ability to be flexible, work in a faced paced environment and meet deadlines. 
  • Requires valid driver’s license, insured vehicle and ability to travel
